Recently we have improved the detection, diagnosis, and therapy of resistant hypertensives. The technique of renal denervation with a catheter has improved the control of blood pressure in such patients. The technique is simple, safe, and available data indicates that it is effective. More data and longer follow-up of patients are required to promote wide acceptance of this new technique.
