It explains the indications and approaches for the different procedures (punctures, biopsies, drainage of collections, cholecystostomies, and nephrostomies). It also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the different imaging techniques that can be used to guide these procedures (ultrasound, CT, and fluoroscopy) as well as the possible complications that can develop from each procedure.
